Who is Confluent?

Confluent Medical Technologies applies materials science to MedTech
innovation. Confluent specializes in the expert design, development, and
large-scale manufacturing of interventional catheter-based devices and
implants. Our key capabilities include Nitinol components and material,
balloons and balloon catheters complex catheters and components, high-
precision polymer tubing, and implantable textiles. We operate in 8 state-of-
the-art facilities across the United States, Costa Rica, and India and employ
over 2,000 employees. Confluent has earned the confidence of leaders in the
medical device community through a proven track record of innovation,
engineering, and manufacturing.

1991: Nitinol Device and Components was founded
2008: NDC spun off from J&J to become NDC again
2015: NDC acquires Interface Catheters, and expands to include balloons and extrusions
2017: Confluent acquires ETE Medical and subsidiaries, expanding into biomedical textiles.
2019: Confluent acquires Tube Hollows International to vertically integrate their Nitinol supply chain
2021: Confluent establishes new Polymer Tubing center in Chattanooga with filmcast tubing capabilities
2023: Confluent expanded to Hyderabad, India for enhanced Nitinol Wire capabilities
1999: NDC was acquired by Johnson & Johnson
2010: NDC started Nitinol manufacturing in Costa Rica
2016: NDC rebranded as Confluent Medical Technologies
2018: Acquired Corpus Medical to enhance their expertise in advanced catheter development
2020: Confluent opens a new Catheter center in Austin, TX emphasizing R&D and prototyping
2022: TPG Capital purchased Confluent Medical
2024: Confluent invested in ATI Nitinol Melt Expansion and is now their Fulfillment Partner for Medical Nitinol
